Un-intimidating French Pleasant Bread

Un-intimidating French Pleasant Bread

This recipe is great because you don't have to knead or punch down, and it turns out great.
This is best fresh, the day of baking. *

1 pkg. instant dry yeast (about 1 Tbs).
2 cups warm water
1 Tbls sugar
2 tsp salt
4 cups flour (try 1/2 white, 1/2 wheat) I used all white
cornmeal
melted butter

Dissolve yeast, sugar and salt in the water. Add flour and stir until blended. Do Not knead.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until double in size.
Flour hands, remove dough and shape into 2 rounds on an oiled sheet sprinkled with cornmeal. I did sprinkled the cornmeal very heavier on the pan.
Let rise 1 more hour. Brush top with melted butter. Bake at 425 for 10 mins. turn oven to 375 and bake another 15 minutes. Brush with more butter when you pull it out. (yum, double yum!!)
* had some this morning and it still tastes great.
